Special Membership Meeting January 18, 2009

 

Special Member Meeting #1                                                       

People being checked in and voting at 12:15 pm.

 

1 pm Allen calls meeting to order and he announces Jay Hencken as Sergeant at Arms and Parliamentarian.  He introduces Larry Steen the Association Attorney.

 

Question from audience “What is this meeting for?  We are out of towners and came just for this meeting.”  Attorney Steen states that if you are in Districts 1, 3, or 5 you need to check in and you can vote.  Disruption ensues.

 

John Suhajda claims anyone can vote to remove any Director.  Attorney Seen clarifies.

Gert Suhajda yelling that attorney Steen is wrong

Special Member Meeting #2                                                       

Allen presides and thinks that meeting #2 should occur.

Vickee Hansen is nominated by Ginger (?)

Jay Hencken goes on record protesting the 2nd meeting.  Our by-laws have a section that pertains to elections and we should follow them.  We can operate for the next 2 months in order to do this properly. Applause.

William Kolar is nominated by June Farmer

15 Yes (with one challenge re: Duane Konkel)     1 No               

 

District 3 Vacancy

Jackie Lickerman is nominated by Dee Cramer
